A Picture from the field! Equal Parenting Cyclist Brian Downs in need of repairs. As you can see the rear derailer is bent into the rim (wheel). My understanding is that he needs a new rear wheel and perhaps derailer!

We received an update from Bill Knoellner today:
Yesterday Bill Knoellner was told that he had second degree burns and was treated for this. He is still in pain but refuses to quit.
Brian Downs, a Michigan Judicial Candidate, had his bicycle wheel (rim) destroyed. He is ok and they are in the process of looking for a replacement wheel.
Bill stated on the phone message that spirits are high and they are refusing to quit, but that the hills in Pennsylvania are "kicking their butt".
Congrats to all of the cyclists for their determination to make it to the DC Festival 2008. All should attend this event JUST to welcome these equal parenting heroes
